About us

Seller-side advisors for the new data market

We were founded on a simple observation: the companies buying business data have experienced dealmakers, and the companies selling it usually don't.

Why we exist

In 2026, AI developers and the platforms that supply them began paying established companies for their operating records. Offers now arrive by email, through referral partners paid by the buyer, and through brokers who earn a bounty when an owner signs.

Almost everyone in that conversation is paid by the buyer. Morgan Kessen Data Advisors is paid only by the seller. Our job is to make sure the owners who built these records get a fair price and sound terms for them.

How we work

Principles we hold to

  • One side only. We represent sellers. We do not take buyer mandates.
  • Transparent pay. Our fee is published, and any buyer referral fee is credited to the client.
  • Candor over volume. We would rather tell an owner not to sell than close a bad deal.
  • Confidentiality. NDAs before anything is shared, and buyers see only what the client approves.
  • Plain English. Every term explained so owners can decide for themselves.

Who we serve

Owner-run companies with real operating history

Our clients are typically established manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and software, IT and professional services firms with roughly 30 to 500 employees, and years of records about how their work gets done.
